For use with Worcester circuit board to provided a simple method of teaching students how to build and calibrate a current measuring device. Each current balance consists, when assembled, of a coil which when conducting acts on a small magnet attached to the end of a drinking straw pointer with a needle pivot on an aluminium channel support. Indication is made on a vertical wood strip positioned by a wood block and a elastic band and zeroing is effected using wires riders.

KIT COMPASSES: 100 drinking straws, 8 Alcomax magnets, 4 wood base carrying coil, channel and terminals, 1 pack 18 needles, 4 wood blocks, 10 wood strips, supply of elastic bands, 55g reel of tinned copper wire, 4m reel of 16mm self adhesive cellulose tape and 1 set instructions.
